Introduction to Wisteria Waterfall

Wisteria Waterfall is an essay by contemporary writer Zong Pu. The article was written in May, 1982. At that time, my brother was terminally ill, and the author was very sad. He wandered in the courtyard and saw a wisteria flower in full bloom. He let things go, from the decline of the flower to the prosperity, from sorrow to joy, and realized the beauty and eternity of life.

content appreciation

this article is based on "wisteria flowers" and written in the order of "appreciating flowers", "recalling flowers" and "realizing flowers". The full text can be divided into three parts.

The first part (paragraphs 1 to 6) begins with the author's appreciation of flowers. The first paragraph is a single sentence, "I can't help but stop", which shows that the author stopped because his heart moved. "Bubu" here points out the author's process from meditation to awakening to being attracted. Then why did she meditate and what attracted her? The monologue here is divided into paragraphs, which set off the wisteria flowers from the side, making people stop and dazzle their eyes, and also creating suspense to lead to the following.

Then, the author described wisteria flowers in detail, which was very vivid and beautiful, and described flower waterfalls, flower spikes and flowers in turn. From the whole to the part, it was clear and layered. First of all, describe wisteria from the flower shape. Its characteristics are "like a waterfall" and "big purple banners". Among them, there is a general writing: "Hanging from the air, there is no beginning or end." There is also a local detail: "On the big purple banner, there is a little silver light, just like a splash."

In the second part (paragraphs 7 to 9), the author naturally goes from enjoying flowers to remembering them. In this paragraph, the author turns from the lively description of colors to the precipitation of colors. The precipitated flowers flow in front of his eyes and in his heart. The flowing colors cleanse his anxiety and grief, leaving him with spiritual peace and joy of life. Here, the author has written from flowers to his own heart, and has led to the thinking of "the mystery of life and death, the feeling in his hands" and the thinking of life and death. Recalling the scarcity of flowers more than ten years ago is in sharp contrast with the lush wisteria in front of us, which reflects the indomitable vitality of wisteria flowers and paves the way for the following thinking about life.

in the third part (paragraphs 1 to 11), the author finally points out the main idea, describes the enlightenment flower and the author's perception of life. From the change of flowers' decline and prosperity and his own experience, the author realized that "flowers and people will encounter all kinds of misfortunes, but the long river of life is endless", that is to say, when encountering misfortunes, they should not be overwhelmed by bad luck, but should keep firm faith in the long-term life. After bad luck, you can't always let your grief weigh on your heart. You should face a new life, cheer up and devote yourself to great cause with high morale.
