As an important part of the patriotic health work, the elimination of the "four pests" is of great significance for promoting health and epidemic prevention work. Our town has been carrying out four pest eradication activities for nine years. The overall effect is good, but the tasks in the future are still very heavy, especially the need to further publicize and popularize scientific pest eradication and disease prevention knowledge. , strengthen the scientific research and technical level of eliminating "four pests" and better serve people's lives.

1. Carry out rodent control activities in spring and autumn.

This year, the town government has allocated special funds of 80,000 yuan to purchase 8.2 tons of rodent poison bait. Our office organized more than 20 workers to work in groups and deliver rat poison to residents door to door. At the same time, we will uniformly release rodents in front and back of houses, sewers, the Bund, stations, markets and other public places in the city, covering all corners of the town, to comprehensively reduce rodent density. 2. Earnestly carry out environmental disinfection activities in summer and autumn

Our town has carried out six environmental disinfecting activities in the urban area from April to October this year, basically controlling the density of mosquitoes and flies, bringing them to a level that is not harmful, ensuring the daily safety of the residents of the town. Regarding the living environment, we will focus on disinfecting some public and unmanaged corners, and conduct two disinfections on urban sewers. At the same time, we vigorously carry out paid services and comprehensively rectify some places where flies and mosquitoes are prone to breed.

We attach great importance to the work of improving toilets in rural areas, and this year allocated a special fund of 1 million yuan for this work.

At the beginning of the year, our office conducted a thorough survey and statistics on rural toilet renovations in accordance with the spirit of the town government’s regulations on rural toilet renovations, and accordingly formulated this year’s toilet renovation plan. All offices and villages attach great importance to the work of improving rural toilets and have shown high enthusiasm. They have issued reports calling for the construction and reconstruction of sanitary public toilets and sanitary household toilets. It can be said that a "toilet revolution" has been formed in rural areas.

This year, our town has built 9 sanitary public toilets in rural areas, 1,794 sanitary household toilets, and filled more than 300 open-air cesspits, further improving the backward sanitary conditions in rural areas. During the actual project construction, our office fully exerted its responsibilities of supervision, guidance and coordination, provided construction drawings for the toilet renovation project, and provided technical service guidance, strictly controlled the quality of the project, and ensured that the public toilets were scientific, hygienic and practical. sex. At the same time, we help each village coordinate and resolve conflicts with villagers due to the location of public toilets and compensation for filling open pits, so as to ensure the smooth progress of toilet renovations.

In an example, during the construction of septic tank in Shuishen Village, the project contractor did not carry out the construction according to the standards. The staff of our office going to the countryside promptly stopped it and asked the construction party to make changes accordingly. Finally, The construction of the septic tank project was successfully completed and unanimously recognized by the villagers.

Looking back on the work over the past year, we have achieved some results, but there are still many problems.
