In Huilongtan Community, popular science work is regarded as an important part of the sustainable development of the community. On the basis of consolidating the "Top Ten Popular Science Villages", combined with the reality, we will create water-saving communities to guide the masses to advocate scientific life. The popular science work in recent years is summarized as follows:

1. Establish an organization

The Party branch secretary of the community is the leader, the deputy secretary of the Party branch and the residents' committee member is the deputy leader in charge of the popular science work, and the members are the residents' committee director, the residents' committee member in charge of municipal affairs, the property company's community manager and the director or deputy director of the industry committee, and pay attention to making timely adjustments with personnel changes. At present, the organization network of popular science work is: team leader: Huang Xiaoyan, deputy team leader: Xu Jing, and team members: Lu Jianguo, Yao Gendi, Mao Huizhen, Ji Mingxing, Zhang Ruizhang, Tao Jianfang, Zhu Chengjian, Zhou Quanliang, Yang Ping and Xu Yifen.

Second, formulate rules and regulations

According to the actual situation of the construction of water-saving residential area in Huilongtan, formulate rules and regulations to ensure the implementation of popular science work. The specific system is as follows:

1. The property company regularly cleans and inspects the roof water tank, and timely cleans and repairs it when problems are found, so as to prevent the phenomenon of running, running, dripping and leaking.

2. Neighborhood committees use community blackboard newspapers, popular science galleries, various conferences, and "Huilong Keyuan" tabloids to publicize water-saving communities in various forms to cultivate residents' good water-saving habits.

3. hold special meetings on the work of the leading group on a regular basis, and correct the deficiencies in time. Regularly learn water-saving popular science knowledge to improve residents' awareness of water saving.

4. It is forbidden for residents to litter in the river to ensure that the river in the community is clean and the water flow is smooth.

Third, organize and launch

1. Take science popularization as an important part of sustainable development, carry forward the scientific spirit, popularize scientific knowledge, spread scientific ideas, and constantly improve the professional level of science popularization. On the basis of the original 12 community science popularization volunteers, we will stabilize and develop the organizational structure and age level of the personnel, so as to consolidate and improve the science popularization work on a stable basis.

2. hold at least two special conferences on popular science work throughout the year, so that the team members can learn the most advanced scientific trends.

3. The Propaganda Committee of the General Party Branch of the community and the volunteers for popular science jointly edited and published the tabloid Huilong Keyuan. Since 1998, it has been published four times a year to ensure that it is published once a season, and the tabloid will be posted in every residential building group, so that community residents are generally educated in popular science knowledge, thus improving the quality of residents' scientific civilization.

4. There is a popular science activity room in the community, and popular science lectures, audio-visual education and "holding hands with big hands" are often held. Learn and discuss activities such as the construction of water-saving residential areas.

5. There are four natural communities in the community * * *, and each community has an independent popular science gallery. Each popular science gallery has four pages, and each page carries a column, including "modern science and technology", "environmental protection", "health care" and "common sense of life". The special topics such as "World Water Day" and "Water Saving Publicity Week" are used to carry out centralized publicity and popularization of popular science.

6. Use the small blackboard in the community residents' corridor to write popular science propaganda slogans, vigorously publicize water-saving methods, water-saving appliances, collect water-saving golden ideas and other activities.

7. More than 1 residents were organized to visit the water system on the spot. Visited Yongsheng Waterworks, Chenhang Reservoir, Shugou Sluice and Shanghai Dazhong Sewage Treatment Co., Ltd. successively. The residents finally figured out how the tap water used at home flows into the homes of ordinary people. The pump house of Chenhang Reservoir, the ultraviolet disinfection and biochemical treatment of sewage treated by sewage treatment plant all left a deep impression on the residents. Everyone realized that the water used at ordinary times was hard-won, so they should cherish it more in the future, and truly felt that the water conservancy work was not easy. They should start from themselves and do their part to build a conservation-oriented society.

through the long-term popularization of science, the awareness rate of residents on the construction of water-saving residential areas has been further improved.

IV. Implementing water-saving measures

According to the actual investigation and the time of using water-saving appliances, residential quarters can be basically divided into two categories: those before 95 (referred to as "old quarters") and those after 95 (referred to as "new quarters"). There are four natural communities in Huilongtan Community, of which two are old communities and two are new communities. Because of the different characteristics of the old and new communities, the emphasis of implementing water-saving measures is also different. In view of the old community, the neighborhood Committee mainly mobilized residents to replace the old toilet tank fittings in order to save water. In view of the new community, we are just like residents promoting the use of recycled water in the landscape, residents with private cars using no (micro) water car washing technology, and conditional communities adopting rainwater storage and utilization. In residential areas, we vigorously publicize and encourage residents to use rice washing water to wash vegetables, washing vegetables to mop the floor or flush toilets, and to plant greenery at home, and try to use unconventional water resources such as rainwater for irrigation.

in June of x and March of 28, we rebuilt the water-saving toilets for residents in the old community, and installed 92 sets, with the original water volume of 135 liters, the current water volume of 838 liters and the water-saving volume of 467 liters. By creating a conservation-oriented community, science popularization can truly be "science and technology by my side", which has contributed to improving the quality of life of residents. ;
