It is also my personal experience and profound understanding in practical activities. This paper intends to discuss how to cultivate students' independent, exploratory, cooperative and innovative English learning ability and lifelong learning habits from the aspects of educational concept, teaching atmosphere, teaching environment and media, and evaluation methods.

Today's world is not only an era of competition, but also an era of communication and cooperation. With the development of the information age and the increasing frequency of international communication, English has become one of the basic skills for citizens' survival, knowledge and development in this century. However, even if students learn the latest knowledge at school, it will soon become obsolete and cannot be used for life. Let students constantly acquire new knowledge in their lives. In order to meet the requirements of information and learning society, school education must aim at students' development and cultivate their autonomous learning ability. The English Curriculum Standard (Experimental Draft) formulated by the Ministry of Education (hereinafter referred to as the "new curriculum standard") also clearly points out that the focus of this English curriculum reform is to strengthen the curriculum from the students' learning interest, life experience and cognitive level, advocate the learning methods of experience, practice, participation, cooperation and communication and task-based teaching methods, develop students' comprehensive language use ability, and make the language learning process become students' positive emotional attitude, active thinking and bold practice.
First, establish a brand-new concept of education and teaching, and deepen the reform of English curriculum.
1, firmly establish the educational concept of "people-oriented" and effectively improve students' humanistic quality.
Some educators point out that without the development of students' subjectivity, education will lose its support and vitality. The traditional view of education holds that foreign languages are ecclesiastical, and overemphasizes teachers' "speaking", resulting in "centralized teaching" and "classroom-centered"; On the other hand, quality education believes that foreign languages are learned, and the classroom should be student-centered and provide students with multi-level, multi-angle and all-round task training to give full play to their subjective initiative. English teaching is not only to teach language knowledge, but also to help students develop their personality and potential. 2. Reshape the role of teachers and establish the concept of "serving students".
Students are living people with feelings, wisdom, personality and personality. The future of each of them is multifaceted and multipolar. In our teaching, we can't ignore students' personality differences, tie them to the same carriage and move in the same direction. On the contrary, we should respect the differences in learning, teach students in accordance with their aptitude and require different levels. Change the traditional view of teachers and students; Teachers are "God", students are "Christians" and textbooks are "Bible". Abandon the traditional education mode: a small desk, a teacher's monologue, a course and a test paper. Under the guidance of today's quality education concept, especially in the face of the new curriculum reform, we front-line teachers who stand in front of the curriculum reform should always adhere to the principle of "student-oriented, serving students" in all aspects of "preparing lessons, attending classes and evaluating". Committed to understanding students' cognitive rules, existing knowledge and ability level, looking for the best combination of students' cognitive structure and knowledge structure, and striving to become the organizer, director, promoter and collaborator of students' learning. As the linguist Alexander said, "The teacher is just a facilitator. Teachers can't teach anything. A student is not an empty cup that will be filled with liquid. With knowledge and wisdom. 3. Learn the new curriculum standards and establish a correct view of English teaching.

As practitioners of the new curriculum reform, we should "stand tall". Third, create an all-round language teaching environment and strive to cultivate students' autonomous learning ability.
1. Organize English teaching and create a good English teaching environment.
Education and teaching practice has proved that environment makes people. The "first language environment" is an important factor for students to learn English. Our students lack a real English environment, so teachers should use limited study time and space to create a "simulated" language practice environment and create an English learning atmosphere. First of all, teachers should try their best to organize teaching in English and insist on teaching in English. Second, make full use of projectors, video recorders, televisions, teaching wall charts and other equipment to create situational language environment. The third is to carry out a variety of extracurricular activities, such as singing English songs, English recitation, oral competitions, English tabloids, reading newspapers, English composition competitions and so on. 3. Be precise and concise, be clever and good at guiding, and promote students' autonomous learning.
In today's knowledge explosion and tomorrow's economy and study, learning to choose and activate knowledge is much more important than simply memorizing it. As a practitioner of curriculum reform, we should change from "church" to "teaching" and guide students to change from "learning" to "learning". Teachers should carefully design and practice, skillfully inspire and guide, and guide learning methods. 4. Strengthen task-based teaching to cultivate students' comprehensive language use ability.
The new curriculum standard advocates "task-based" teaching method, that is, students learn and use English by thinking, investigating, discussing and cooperating to complete specific learning tasks. Among many communicative syllabus models, it is a new teaching model that emphasizes the autonomy of language teachers and language learners. It shows that teachers should design teaching activities from the perspective of students and integrate teaching objectives into one or several specific activities; In the process of English teaching, teachers first give students clear tasks according to the teaching objectives and teaching contents; Then give students enough time and space to investigate, think, discuss, communicate and use the language; Finally, through students' reports, exchanges, summaries and evaluations, they can practice their language goals and complete their learning tasks. Of course, when designing the "task", we should have a clear purpose and operability, and combine the inside and outside of the class as much as possible.
