What is the policy of one household and one house in rural homestead?

Article 62 of the Land Management Law stipulates that a household can only apply for one homestead, which means that a household can only apply for one homestead and then build a house on this plot. This is called one house for one household.

Paragraph 1 of Article 62 of the Land Management Law stipulates that a rural villager can only own one homestead, and the area of the homestead shall not exceed the standards set by provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government. The fourth paragraph stipulates that rural villagers who apply for homestead after selling or renting houses shall not be approved.
