1. Historical overview and construction status

There are more than 100 elderly people with five guarantees in Sandaokeng Town and more than 70 elderly people in Muyexi Township. 2. Elderly care work and the living conditions of the elderly

3. Social care and government care

4. Problems and Development Suggestions

1. Old infrastructure and aging equipment. The office space of the nursing home is dilapidated, the beds, tables and chairs for the elderly are old, and equipment such as washing machines and rice cookers are aging. The elderly do not have special bathing places and equipment, so they still use firewood to boil water for bathing. In this regard, the government should strengthen the hardware construction of nursing homes for the elderly, improve the level of hardware facilities in nursing homes, invest in repairs or update related equipment and facilities, and ensure their life and safety.

2. There are few staff and the work is trivial. There are only three staff members currently taking care of the daily lives of 19 elderly people. They do not have regular vacations. The work content is complex and trivial, and they are unable to take on more elderly people. Wages are low, and they usually subsidize the elderly at their own expense, and only the dean has received professional training. The management staff are older, have low education levels, are not professional enough in work care, and have certain problems in communicating with the elderly. . In this regard, the municipal government should manage the work of the staff based on its scale and standard budget. 3. The elderly are not very enthusiastic about medical treatment. Although the nursing home in Muyexi Township, Sandaokeng, Zhijiang, Huaihua is basically operating, it is still unable to meet the needs of the elderly with five guarantees.
