Harbin Aviation Industry School in 1950s and 1960s was a secondary specialized school specialized in training aviation industry professionals. This school is famous for its high teaching quality and excellent school spirit. Once merged with Harbin Institute of Technology to run a school, and then independently run a school. Dismounted in May, 1969, transformed the factory. 1978, some former teachers and cadres of the Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics moved to Langfang City, Hebei Province, and established the North China Aerospace Industry School.

The preparatory work for the school began in April of 195 1 and was sponsored by the Ministry of Heavy Industry of the then Central People's Government.

On June 26th, 195 1, Harbin Aviation School was located in the First Air Force Factory of Kazakhstan. At that time, it was called "Luban Force" and was responsible for the maintenance of the air force. After the Aviation Industry Bureau of the Ministry of Heavy Industry took over this area, it allocated 9 million yuan to designate 296.4 mu of land east of Zhongshan Road (now Zhongshan Road 137) in Harbin as the teaching area of Harbin Aviation Industry School, and to build the main teaching building, practice factory and dormitory building.

1954 10 with the approval of Harbin municipal government, 77.6 mu of land west of Zhongshan Road was designated as the living area of Harbin Aviation School and a new dormitory area was built.

At the beginning of the school, the teaching building was composed of several old buildings and two hangars left over from the Japanese-Puppet War. The living quarters of faculty and students are scattered in Xuanhua Street, Wen Ming Street and Li Fangyuan. The main teaching building of Harbin Aviation School was built in 1955, and now it is Fenghua Middle School.

1952 Spring, Harbin Aviation School officially enrolled students. The school has four majors: piston engine manufacturing, jet engine manufacturing, aircraft manufacturing and aviation parts machinery manufacturing.

From 1952 to 1955, three Soviet experts were hired to guide running schools and teaching. From 1952 to 1954, the teachers in China are mainly undergraduates from famous universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Nankai University and Beijing Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, as well as engineers and teachers returning from internships in the United States. The aviation school later sent outstanding graduates to famous universities for further study, and returned to China to teach after graduation to supplement the teaching staff.

The first batch of students mainly came from the Central South Military Region of the People's Liberation Army of China and the cultural cadres and soldiers of the ranked middle schools returned from Chinese people's Volunteer Army, and a small number of them were junior high school graduates from Bora, Jilin. From 1952 to 1955, the top four were admitted by middle school and aviation school respectively. 1956 the social senior high school entrance examination was unified, and Heilongjiang and Jilin junior high school champions were selected.

In September 1953, the name of the school was changed to Northeast No.2 Industrial School, and in June, the original name was restored to 1956, with a school system of three years. The four-year system starts from 1960. Aviation School follows the school song of Yan 'an Anti-Japanese Military and Political University. From 65438 to 0956, Liu was the principal.

In 1958, teachers and students majoring in aircraft manufacturing put forward the suggestion of designing and manufacturing the agricultural aircraft "Heilongjiang No.1" by themselves according to the teaching content. The test pilot was captain Deng Zhongqing of Air Force 0 16, accompanied by Yang Jing, director of Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Institute. Judging from the junior college classes of Harbin Institute of Technology, the students who graduated from 1964 and 1965 are all junior college students, although their studies are all four years.

During the Cultural Revolution, Harbin Aviation School was closed and dismounted. Approved by the State Council and other relevant departments, it was changed to Fenghua Machinery Factory of the State-owned Aerospace Department (code name Harbin 254 Factory).

From 65438 to 0978, more than 30 teachers and cadres of Harbin Aviation School were transferred to Langfang City, Hebei Province, becoming the main leaders and teaching backbones of North China Aerospace Industry School. North China Aerospace Industry School was upgraded to an institution of higher learning, which is now North China Aerospace Engineering College.
