What is entrepreneurship?

The concept of "entrepreneur" was first put forward by the French economist Jean-batiste in 1800, that is, entrepreneurs make the efficiency of economic resources from low to high, and "entrepreneurship" is a collection of special skills (including spirit and skills) of entrepreneurs. In other words, "entrepreneurship" refers to the performance of entrepreneurs' comprehensive ability to establish and manage enterprises. It is an important and special intangible factor of production. For example, Akio Morita and Masaru Ibuka, great entrepreneurs and founders of Sony, created the greatest "product" not a tape recorder or grating color kinescope, but Sony and everything it stands for; Walter Disney's greatest creation is not Pinocchio, Snow White, or even Disneyland, but Walter Disney Company and its extraordinary ability to make the audience happy. Sam walton's greatest creation is not "insisting on daily parity", but Wal-Mart, an organization that can turn retail necessities into actions in the best way.

Entrepreneurship is a very scarce resource, which contains many spiritual elements such as honesty, innovation, cooperation and professionalism. But "honesty, innovation, cooperation and dedication" are the four pillars of entrepreneurship, which are inseparable and indispensable. Moreover, the spirit of honesty must be the first, otherwise even with the latter three elements, it is futile and harmful to society. It can be said that entrepreneurship is an important foundation for an enterprise to last forever.

Entrepreneurship seems mysterious, because every entrepreneur has his own notes on entrepreneurship. But the following points should be the basic connotation of entrepreneurship.

First, be honest and law-abiding. This is the basic spiritual quality that entrepreneurs should have. Honesty is the basic creed of market economy. Only enterprises that abide by the law and pay attention to reputation can get the greatest benefits in the fierce market competition. Those "entrepreneurs" who try their best to break the law and are short-lived, the problem lies in the lack of entrepreneurial spirit of honesty and law-abiding, which not only tarnishes the reputation of private enterprises, but also brings disasters to their own enterprises. Therefore, the healthy development of private enterprises requires private entrepreneurs to make more efforts in shaping their own credibility.

The second is the spirit of innovation. The essence of entrepreneurship is innovation, and innovation is the basis of sustainable development of enterprises. The concept of innovation was first put forward by the famous economist Schumpeter. He believes that innovation is "a new combination of factors of production by entrepreneurs", that is, "establishing a new production function". In my opinion, the spirit of innovation mainly refers to creating new means and methods of production and operation, new ways of resource allocation, and new products and services that meet the needs of consumers. Under this innovative concept, innovation can first enable private enterprises to open a broader space for survival and development and continue to lead the development. Secondly, creating a new production organization model can continuously improve the efficiency of resource allocation, reduce the production cost of enterprises and enhance the market competitiveness of their products or services. Thirdly, the process of innovation is actually the process of continuous surprise and development of enterprises. Innovation means taking risks and winning by surprise, that is, using new ideas, new ideas, new strategies and new methods that others have not thought of to seek the development of enterprises.

Therefore, innovation means that enterprises constantly discard the old in their development, that is, allocating effective resources of enterprises in an unconventional way, promoting the operation of enterprises, thus achieving great success. In fact, any enterprise, no matter how remarkable its benefits and achievements in the industry, needs constant innovation and reform to be invincible in the market competition. This is the key factor for the success of many famous enterprises. General Electric Company of the United States dares to change and is good at it, thus maintaining the momentum of rapid growth and becoming the most valuable company in the world. China's Lenovo, Haier, Vanke, Yuanda, Huawei and other well-known domestic enterprises have also ensured their sustained and stable development because of continuous innovation and transformation.

The third is the sense of social responsibility. This should be the realm of entrepreneurship. What is corporate social responsibility? It is generally believed that corporate social responsibility means that enterprises should be responsible for employees, consumers, communities and the environment while creating profits.
