Shaanxi Art Museum is located on Chang'an North Road, Beilin District, close to Shaanxi Library and Shaanxi Stadium. Built in 2004, it is currently the largest art museum in the western region.

The museum has 8 exhibition halls and 4 galleries, as well as a sculpture exhibition hall, an academic lecture hall, a VIP room and a collection of paintings. The main art collections include Chinese paintings, oil paintings, prints, sculptures, watercolors and gouache, crafts, calligraphy, seal cutting, New Year pictures, rubbings, folk art, etc.

There are more than 4,000 pieces (sets) of various art collections in the museum. Its Shaanxi Folk Art Exhibition Hall displays more than 3,000 fine art pieces in 18 categories, including peasant paintings, clay sculptures, paper-cuts, shadow puppets, fabric products, facial makeup, and embroidery.
