Luzhou Medical College is a provincial institution of higher learning in Sichuan Province, located at the junction of Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan and Guizhou. The college was founded in 195 1, formerly known as South Sichuan Medical College in Southwest China. 1959 was upgraded to Luzhou medical college, and 1978 was upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed Luzhou medical college. 1982 obtained the right to award bachelor's degree, 1993 obtained the right to award master's degree, and 1998 successfully passed the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching work of the Ministry of Education.
