General situation of Changshu museum
Basically, calligraphy and painting, ceramics and jade are the three categories, and the collection quantity and grade are among the best in the same level counties and cities in China. Among them, 155 pieces of paintings and calligraphy were listed in the Catalogue of Ancient Paintings and Calligraphy in China, and the jade articles of Liangzhu culture, celadon of the Six Dynasties and official kiln porcelain of the Ming Dynasty were successively selected for the second and third China Cultural Relics Exhibition held by the state and included in the catalogue. This collection is included in published cultural relics atlases in China, such as Complete Works of Fine Arts, Jade Articles of Liangzhu, Four Kings' Paintings, Wu Changshuo's Painting and Calligraphy, China Astronomical Cultural Relics Atlas, Nanlu Cultural Relics Atlas and Art of Six Dynasties. The collection of paintings in Changshu Museum, the collection of calligraphy in Changshu Museum and the collection of seals in Changshu Museum have been grandly distributed by Shanghai People's Fine Arts Publishing House, Cultural Relics Publishing House and People's Fine Arts Publishing House. The museum also attaches great importance to academic research, personnel training, publicity and education. Since the establishment of 199 1 preparatory office, Changshu Wenbo has been published for seven years, focusing on promoting local history and popularizing cultural relics knowledge, which has been well received by people from all walks of life. Among the staff of the whole library, college degree or above accounts for a large proportion, and most of them have certain knowledge and skills in preservation, publicity, appraisal, archaeology and restoration, and have published nearly 100 academic articles in national and provincial newspapers and periodicals.
National Cultural Heritage Administration was established, and the Epitaph of New China Unearthed in Changshu, Jiangsu Province, edited by China Institute of Cultural Relics and Changshu Museum, was officially published at the end of 2006. The book contains 323 epitaphs collected by Changshu Museum and Changshu Inscription Museum, which provides first-hand physical evidence for studying the historical evolution and regional organization of Changshu.
