Why is there Vientiane City in Liuzhou?

Liuzhou, referred to as "Liu" for short, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and an important central city in central Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved by the State Council. As of 202 1, the city has five municipal districts and five counties, with a total area of 18596 square kilometers.
