The promotion of soldiers is an examination for full-time undergraduates in the military. Promotion requires pre-examination and unified examination. Examine cultural subjects and military physical fitness before the exam. After the release of the military examination syllabus in 2023, the military physical fitness has not changed much, and the score is100; Analysis, reasoning and comprehensive application have been added to the cultural subject, and the score has been adjusted to 750 (note: it used to be 300). The total score of promotion is 850 points.

Compared with the soldiers' examination, the contents and scores of the soldiers' physical examination are the same, and the starting line is not much different. The main difference is that cultural subjects are more difficult. Moreover, cultural subjects should be tested twice, once for the first time and once for the unified examination.

Whether the cultural subjects in the initial examination pass or not determines whether the military physical fitness is qualified or not, while the cultural subjects in the unified examination are combined with the military physical fitness scores, and the total scores of the military examinations in that year are taken as the admission criteria for military schools.

The promoted cultural subjects are subjects that have not been studied during the undergraduate period. In units that are already busy and need on-duty training, they need to invest a lot of time and energy to study. After learning, we should constantly review and consolidate, which in turn conflicts with the original less time, which has a great impact on learning efficiency.

Basic conditions for soldiers to perform their duties:

1. Education: Full-time college degree or above before enlistment.

2. Marriage: No requirement.

3. Age: the graduation age of undergraduate students is not more than 26 years old, and the graduation age of graduate students is not more than 29 years old. Among them, the age for ethnic minority soldiers to serve in troops stationed in Tibet and ethnic minority areas in more than three kinds of hard and remote areas can be relaxed 1 year (as of June of that year 1).
