Yangzhou University is a key comprehensive university in Jiangsu Province and the first university in the country to merge schools. In 1992, it consisted of Yangzhou Normal University, Jiangsu Agricultural College, Yangzhou Institute of Technology, Yangzhou Medical College, and Jiangsu Water Conservancy Engineering College.
