Because of his bravery in fighting, he soon joined the China Producer Party. In the autumn of the same year, he was sent back to his hometown by the Party to engage in the agricultural movement, and together with Wang Shusheng and others, he established the first party branch in the riding area. After the "July 15th" counter-revolutionary coup in 1927, he returned to Han and participated in the "August 1st" Nanchang Uprising with the Helong Department. Soon, the party sent him back to Macheng to persist in the revolutionary struggle. In late September, with Cai Jihuang, Liu Wenwei, Wang Shusheng, Liao Rongkun, etc., we listened to the spirit of the "August 7th" meeting and the instructions of the provincial party committee that conveyed China's * * * production party, and launched the "September Riot". On November 18th, together with Liu Wenwei and Liao Rongkun, Macheng Peasant Self-Defense Forces and tens of thousands of people participated in the Jute Uprising. After being frustrated, he moved to Mulan Mountain with the uprising team. In January 1928, the Eastern Hubei Army was changed to the Seventh Army of the Workers and Peasants Revolutionary Army. In October, the East Hubei Special Committee was reorganized as a member. In February 1929, the South Henan Special Committee of the East Hubei Special Committee held a joint meeting and decided to organize the Shangnan Uprising, designated Shangnan, East Hubei and Luobei as special areas of Hubei, Henan and Anhui, and set up special district committees as members. On May 6, an uprising was launched, leading more than 3 peasants to arm themselves and wipe out the Baishahe militia in one fell swoop. On May 9, the uprising team established the 32nd Division of the 11th Army of the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants as the Party representative. In October, the office was established (i.e. the provisional revolutionary government) and served as the director of the office. And Zhou Weijiong led many times to beat back the siege of reactionary vigilante groups, which made indelible contributions to the establishment of Shangnan revolutionary base area. In August, he was mistakenly killed in Jianjiafan (now Jinzhai County) in Banzhuyuan, a shopping mall. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he was chased as a revolutionary martyr.
