In fact, few people know that China rarely publicizes it. 1979 The counterattack against Vietnam is also the largest tropical jungle tank battle in the world so far. It has always been believed that Vietnam is located in the tropical region, with rugged and complex terrain and dense virgin jungle, which is not suitable for tank troops to fight. In my impression, China's army was attacked by pure infantry. But in this war, China dispatched more than 500 tanks and played an important role in the war.

The Chinese Army invested in six tank regiments, including Kunming Military Region Independent Tank Regiment, 4 1 Army Tank Regiment, 42 Army Tank Regiment, 43 Army Tank Regiment, 55 Army Tank Regiment and Guangzhou Military Region Independent Tank Regiment. Our army won the war on the strategy of 1979, but many battles were not well fought, with heavy losses, heavy casualties, failures and mistakes.
