Generally, they should not make more than three calls and each call should not exceed 10 minutes.

Article 52

When meeting a detainee, a valid identity document must be presented. When meeting the detainee, the lawyer entrusted by the detainee must also present a lawyer's practicing certificate, a law firm certificate and a power of attorney or an official legal aid letter. The police at the detention center should check the relevant certificates and vouchers of the person meeting the detainee, fill in the registration form for meeting the detainee, and make arrangements in a timely manner.

The detention decision-making authority shall make a decision on whether to grant leave to leave the detention center within 12 hours after the detainee or his close relative files an application.

If the detention decision-making authority approves the request for leave to leave the detention center, the detention center will issue a certificate for the detainee to apply for leave to leave the detention center and arrange for the detainee to leave the detention center.

The time allowed for leave is generally not more than 7 days. The time the detainee takes to leave the detention center will not be included in the period of detention.
