Significance of the emblem of Shanghai Summit

The emblem of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is circular, with the territories of China, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan as the main body, an olive branch and two streamers, symbolizing the active promotion of regional and world peace and development by member States, and implying the broad cooperation fields and huge development prospects of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The emblem is marked with the words "Shanghai Cooperation Organization" in Chinese and Russian respectively. The emblem is green and blue, which symbolizes the purpose of peace, friendship, progress and development of the organization.
