Introduction of National Standards for Rice

1. In the national standard of rice, the quality of rice is divided into four grades, namely, Grade I, Grade II, Grade III and Grade IV. The national quality standard of rice is a commodity rice standard applicable to purchase, sale, allocation, storage, processing and export.

2. The implementation standard of ordinary rice is GB/T 1354, which means that the quality is average and the corresponding price is not too expensive. Therefore, when we buy rice, no matter what brand it is, no matter how gorgeous the packaging is, how well the advertising language is written and how attractive the pictures are. As long as there is GB/T 1354 on its package, its essence is ordinary rice, and its quality is relatively average. The higher the selling price, the more losses.

3. So how do you choose to eat high-quality rice? In fact, in addition to GB/T 1354, there are four kinds of very high-quality rice, each of which uses its own independent standards. If you want to eat a good meal, you should pay more attention. If you can't remember clearly, look at the words on the package to implement the standard.

4. The first type, Wuchang rice, the corresponding implementation standard is GB/T 19266. Wuchang rice, produced in wuchang city, Heilongjiang Province, is known as "the best rice in China", which is characterized by rich rice flavor, shiny grains, softness and a little stickiness. When purchasing, in addition to Wuchang rice, you should also look for rice with GB/T 19266.

There is also an ordinary Wuchang rice in the market, which uses GB/T 1354. This quality is not as good as GB/T 19266, and the taste is much worse. So don't look at Wuchang rice. The key is to look at its implementation standards, which will be clearly written on the package. Everyone must read carefully.

6. The second category, Panjin rice, the corresponding implementation standard is GB/T 18824. Panjin rice is produced in Panjin City, Liaoning Province, which is characterized by full grains, moderate length and width, bluish white color and fresh rice fragrance. In 2008, it was also designated as "special rice for Beijing Olympic Games". You should also read the words GB/T 18824 when you buy it.

7. The third type, Fangzheng rice, the corresponding implementation standard is GB/T20040. Founder rice is produced in founder county, Heilongjiang Province, also known as "green selenium-enriched rice". It is characterized by white color, good grain shape, smooth and soft after cooking, fragrant smell, slightly sweet aftertaste and rich in mineral elements. When purchasing, the selection method is the same as above.

8. The fourth type, Yuanyang Jinqing, corresponds to GB/T22438. Yuanyang Jinqing is the only one of the four kinds of high-quality rice that is not produced in the northeast, but it is also the most "down and out". It was produced in Yuanyang County, Henan Province and introduced from Japan in 1970s. It is characterized by slightly translucent rice grains, soft and oily after steaming, positive fragrance and good taste.
