Construction background

The highway passages in Nanning, Yulin and Wuzhou have always been important passages for Guangdong, Guangxi and western regions to enter Guangdong, and vehicles passing through these passages are in an endless stream every day.

Due to historical reasons, the high-grade highway construction between Guangdong and Guangxi is in a state of war, and the high-grade highway network is not connected, forming a "dead end", which seriously affects the economic exchanges and development between the two places. For Guangxi, the neighboring Guangdong Province can not form smooth high-grade highway passages, especially the highway passages leading to the Pearl River Delta region are insufficient in number and low in grade, which is not conducive to undertaking industrial transfer in the east.

In order to connect the two places with expressways, Guangxi boldly introduced private capital and built expressways in the form of BOT, which also made Nanwu Expressway the expressway with the most private capital introduced in Guangxi.

On May 20th, 20001year, the whole line of Xingye-Liu Jing Expressway was started. China Wenhua Business Development Corporation, affiliated to People's Daily, is responsible for investment, construction, operation and management. With a total investment of 2.45 billion yuan, the project was completed and opened to traffic on August 5, 2003.

In 2003, Cenxi started construction in Wuzhou, which was jointly established by China Railway Engineering Corporation and Wuzhou Guihai Enterprise Development Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 2.706 billion yuan. It was officially completed and opened to traffic on June 65, 2008.

The construction of Cenxi-Xingye Expressway started in June 2006, which was jointly invested by China Railway Corporation and the Autonomous Region Expressway Administration, with a total investment of 56,543.8 billion yuan. It is the last section of Nanwu Expressway.

On February 20, 2008, 65438+, Cenxi-Xingye Expressway was officially opened to traffic. At this point, the Nanning-Wuzhou Expressway runs through the whole line.

Construction significance

The entire Nanning-Wuzhou Expressway will not only facilitate the traffic along the route, but also facilitate the exchange of people between the two places. Most importantly, this road will become the economic artery connecting Guangdong and Guangxi, and also the main channel connecting Guangxi with the economically developed areas in the Pearl River Delta.
