Laying skills of colored steel tile

This paper will introduce the laying skills of color steel tile, including laying, fixing, wrapping, fixing method, laying sequence, cutting, lap length, laying method and the use of special nails.

Roof laying

Roof laying starts from the edge of gables and starts from left to right. Then, after placing the first board, draw an alignment line along the lower edge of the board, and install each board according to the alignment line, and check it at any time to make it not deviate.

Fixing method

The surface is laid with self-tapping screws and fixed to the stringer along the center of each rib. Fix the first fixed seat in the first row on the leftmost side of the purlin with self-tapping screws, then fix the fixed seats in the same row with the purlin elastic ink line as the baseline, and then fasten the short arm of the fixed seat with the first paved panel female rib, and construct and adjust according to the above method.

Edge closure

The lap joint of the edge-receiving material of the roof (including the awning) needs to be fixed with aluminum rivets and waterproof with water-stopping glue. If the final fixing method of the edge receiving plate structure needs to be changed according to the field measurement, the confirmed drawings shall prevail.

Laying sequence

Laying in the above order, when the remaining space between castles in the air is less than half of the width of the floor, only the short arm of the fixed seat is used to fix the floor, and the remaining space is closed by flooding.

When cutting a colored steel plate, the exposed surface should face downwards, so as to prevent the chips generated during cutting from adhering to the coating surface, resulting in gasification of the surface chips.

Overlapping length

When the roof needs longitudinal (vertical) lap, the lap length should be above 15cm, and the lap position of the water stop should be in a strip position according to the design requirements.

Laying mode

There are usually two correct ways to lay colored steel tiles: (1) overlapping (suitable for roofs with a length of ≦ 15M); (2) Staggered (applicable to roofs with length ≧ 15M).

The use of special nails

Usage of special nail for color steel tile: (1) The special nail for color steel tile must be hit in the middle of tile bone to play a waterproof role. (2) The fixed spacing of special nails is 50cm ~ 100cm(4 nails/㎡). (3) Special nails must be nailed into the roof from the lower end of the tile to achieve beautiful, sealed and tidy effects.
