However, under the control of exam-oriented education, many middle school students have serious "utilitarian thoughts" and struggle for scores. The heavy academic burden inhibited their desire to read famous books. In addition, adolescent middle school students are full of curiosity, and their attention is often attracted by new things in society. Animation, games, online novels, and all kinds of fashion books are full of their vision, and famous works are alienated and ignored. In view of this situation, our senior one Chinese preparation group pays special attention to guiding students to approach, yearn for and love famous works, introducing famous works reading into senior high school Chinese classroom, guiding, urging and persisting, and cultivating students' good reading habits of famous works.

First, combined with the new curriculum standards, create a reading atmosphere of famous books.

The new curriculum standard clearly puts forward that reading is an important way to collect and process information, understand the world, develop thinking and gain aesthetic experience. As for the methods of reading notes, teachers can recommend some commonly used and effective methods for students to choose their own methods. Let students acquire rich knowledge in various ways, build a solid literary foundation in the rich knowledge, and gain a sense of pride and accomplishment in the solid foundation, so as to maintain a lasting reading passion.

In the final of the composition competition for middle school students in Guangzhou, twenty students in our school all won the place, eleven of them won the first prize, and four students in our class all won the first prize.

However, even though reading in and out of school has achieved initial results, due to the heavy schoolwork burden of high school students, the reading time is greatly squeezed, and the reading interest of individual students is often not consolidated and developed. The impetuous psychological influence in society makes it seem that the promotion of middle school students' famous books reading has a long way to go.

Suhomlinski, a famous educator in the former Soviet Union, said: "The way to make students smarter is not to make up lessons or increase homework, but to read, read and reread."
