I took Erdaobaihe to Yanji and got on the bus. I fell asleep in a daze and dreamed that I was shopping in myeongdong, Seoul. My aunt who sells fish cakes on the roadside insists on communicating with me in Korean. I am so anxious that I can't understand anything.
When I woke up, I saw two grandmothers in the front seat. They were chatting in Korean. Isn't this the aunt who sells my fish cakes in my dream?
The closer the car is to Yanji, the more "Korea" signs on the roadside, and even the banners on the roadside are "Korea".
Yes, this is Yanji.
Yanbian, whose full name is Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, is the only Korean Autonomous Prefecture in China and the largest Korean gathering place in China. It borders Russia in the east and faces North Korea across Tumen River in the south. Yanji is the capital of Yanbian.
When I arrived in Yanji, I took a taxi to the hotel. The taxi was also broadcast in bilingual, and once it was "Hello passengers" in Chinese.
Handsome men and beautiful women walking in the street communicate in Korean, waiters in restaurants greet guests in Korean, and there are Korean broadcasts on buses ... Korean and Chinese are used here, and all the signs are bilingual, which is amazing.
The relationship between Korean and Korean is just like the relationship between Northeast dialect and Mandarin, but the tone is different. With this language advantage, many people in Yanbian go to work in Korea every year, and many people come back from Korea, bringing a lot of Korean food.
In Yanji, eating is definitely a big part. Previously, Miss Meat wrote that you can eat the most authentic Korean food in this low-key northeastern border town without going abroad. The article has been introduced in detail. This time I asked the locals about some restaurants they like to eat, which is a supplement.
cold noodles with sauce
In Korean cuisine, many people first think of cold noodles. When I came to Yanji, I realized that the correct way to open cold noodles is to eat them with pot-stewed meat.
The freshly fried pork bun is soaked in cold ice water, and the temperature drops rapidly, making the outside of the pork bun more crisp. Take a bite of pork buns and drink sour and sweet cold noodle soup. What kind of immortal eating is this?

Bibimbap
Dry rice people dry rice soul, dry rice people use pots, and when they arrive in Yanji, they become stone pots. Just walk into a shop and realize that there are so many ways to eat bibimbap.
Obviously it looks like the same dish, so why is Yanji's so delicious? Although the taste of each family is somewhat different, it is really delicious.

board
Boarding is to roast the meat for you, then serve it on the table, and then wrap lettuce or perilla leaves with sauce, kimchi and rice to eat. There are many choices of meat, such as elbow meat, pork belly, beef and so on.
There will be some differences between the sauce and kimchi in each store, and some stores will also give away perilla leaves and cooked leaves of cabbage, so it is enough for one person to order a piece of meat.

Ginseng chicken soup
Ginseng chicken soup is cooked with a whole chicken, and its stomach is full of glutinous rice. When the pot is cooked, use a stone pot to serve the whole soup. The soup tastes a bit like ginseng, and its fragrance is not greasy.
There are also luxurious versions of ginseng chicken soup, such as abalone, velvet antler and eel, which are really learned.

Since we are here to experience Korean food, there must be a barbecue. I always thought that the barbecue here was made of Yanbian yellow beef, but when I asked, I realized that it was all imported grain-fed beef. Only through the unique acid discharging technology can the meat taste better.
Steak, pork belly, fat beef and fat sausage are all worth a try, and with special Korean sauce, the baking speed can't keep up with the eating speed.

ice and snow
Friends who have been to Korea should be familiar with this name, and they can also eat super authentic ice and snow in Yanji. Snow ice made of milk is covered with thick soybeans and mixed with cupcakes. The smell of powder really can't stop.
Besides the original flavor, there are various flavors to choose from, such as matcha and strawberry chocolate. One serving is enough for two people.

Korea food supermarket
Due to geographical location and language advantages, supermarkets here generally sell many Korean products. There are also many specialized Korean supermarkets. It is estimated that there is no such complete Korean food in China except Yanji.
You can find all kinds of Korean snacks, drinks, instant noodles and seasonings here. Even Korean ice cream has several freezers full.

Longmate (Shenhua Street Water Market 1 Floor)
You Ma Jin Te (west of Xinxing Primary School, Aidan Road)
The water market is a local morning market recommended by many raiders, but as the name implies, the morning market only exists in the morning. Usually it closes at eight o'clock, so it is difficult for us to get up. Although I set the alarm clock before going to bed every day and told myself that I must get up early tomorrow to go to the water market, it didn't work.
Seeing the last day, I successfully missed the morning market again. When I fell into deep remorse, the little girl at the front desk of the hotel saved me. "You can go to the western market. I seldom go to the morning market except with my mother."
So, I came to this western market that is open all day. It is said that it is open all day, but by four o'clock, the stalls began to close one after another. So you'd better go shopping before four in the afternoon.
The western market is divided into several districts, and all kinds of pickles, seafood, dry goods and seasonings are exquisite and really informative.
I thought Korean sauce was black and red, but I didn't expect it to have n kinds here. There are those who specialize in cooking, those who specialize in soup, and those who specialize in pickling. In any case, no matter what kind of food is cooked, there are all kinds of sauces and general sauces for our little white food. To sum up the local diet in two words is probably-just sauce.
Besides all kinds of pickles, there are all kinds of seafood products. Whether you buy it or not, this elder sister will generously try it for you before setting up a stall. After a turn, I don't think you need to have dinner.
There are crabs from North Korea, scallops as big as palms, and all kinds of raw seafood from the Sea of Japan. There is also a processing zone next to it to provide processing services, which is more affordable than going to a restaurant.
If you miss the water market and then miss the West Market, you can also go to Bai Yan Supermarket on the ground floor of Yanji Department Store, which is several hundred meters away from the West Market.
Supermarket in Bai Yan is a master of local specialties and food imported from North Korea. But I think the essence of Bai Yan supermarket lies in its cooked food area and semi-finished products area. You can see a cooked food area half the size of a food city and various semi-finished barbecue products.
The semi-finished barbecue here is more complete than any barbecue restaurant I have ever visited. At this moment, the picture of the whole family enjoying the barbecue together in Korean dramas came into my eyes. I want to know how people can easily eat barbecue at home. It turns out that their supermarket has such a set of semi-finished products.
If the conditions were not limited, I would really like to buy a baking tray to eat. After visiting the supermarket in Bai Yan, I planned my next trip to Yanji: about 35 friends found an Airbnb with a kitchen and tasted all kinds of meat with local rice wine. I wonder if there are any "fair-weather friends" to respond.
I can't help sighing that vegetable markets and supermarkets are the essence of Yanbian people's diet.
Recommended stores:
Dongfang Water Market (No.0/425, Shenhua Street, 5:00-8:00)
West Market (9:30- 16:00, 8 19 Shenhua Street)
Department Store (10: 00-22: 00 No.608 Guangming Street)
On the third day in Yanji, I rented a car and planned to drive to Fangchuan Village in the spring of Xing. It takes about two and a half hours by car. Of course, you can also choose to take the high-speed train to Hunchun and charter a car to Fangchuan. Fangchuan is the easternmost village in Jilin, and this is the real border.
Driving from Yanji is cheaper than renting a car. It happens that Yanji has CAR Inc. Point, so I still want to experience this border road myself, so I chose to drive by car.
Starting from Yanji, follow the navigation. There are not many cars along the way, and the road conditions are good. The big haystack rolled up by the roadside reminds people of eating chicken.
The last 20 kilometers of this road is called the circular defense line, which basically means driving on the border. On both sides of the road are barbed wire on the border, with North Korea on the right and Russia on the left. The narrowest place can only accommodate a two-way two-lane expressway.
Find a safe place to park and put out your finger-we're going abroad. I also went to two countries in one day, which was very busy.
At the end of the defensive circle is the Dragon and Tiger Pavilion in Fangchuan Scenic Area. Boarding it, you can see the Three Kingdoms at a glance. Tickets and shuttle buses are expensive in 78 yuan, but there is no second such scenic spot in China. Based on the tourism concept of "coming here", I still pay for it.
When you board Longhu Pavilion, China's territory is at your feet, Russian border railway station Baode Gollner Ya is in the east, Tumen River faces Manjianghong across the river in the southwest, and the Sea of Japan is faintly visible in the distance.
The Tumen River at the foot is only a dozen kilometers away from the estuary. It used to be the territory of China, but after a humiliating history, it has become an estuary that can never be reached.
This history is fully described in the exhibition hall on the fourth floor of Longhu Pavilion. /kloc-In the mid-9th century, when the British and French allied forces launched the Second Opium War, Russia also seized a large area of land in the Heilongjiang River basin by taking advantage of the fire, and forced the Qing government to sign the Sino-Russian Aihun Treaty, which humiliated its power and country, and then coerced the Qing government to sign the Sino-Russian Beijing Treaty.
These two treaties plundered more than 6,543.8+0,000 square kilometers of land, including Sakhalin Island, to the north of Heilongjiang, to the south of Outer Xing 'an Mountains and to the east of Wusuli River, and cut off China's territorial waters, making Jilin an inland province without sea areas.
After understanding that period of history, it will be more touching to look at the slogan "One inch of the sacred territory of the motherland cannot be lost" in the scenic spot after walking out of the Dragon and Tiger Pavilion. Fortunately, now our country has become strong, so we should constantly strive for self-improvement.
I first came to Yanbian just for Yanji's delicious food. I didn't expect this border town to have so much history of honor and disgrace. After receiving some patriotic education, I think I should cherish my present life.
I looked at my unfinished food list. Well, it is necessary to do it again.
