Where is the Langya Mountain of the Five Strong Men?

Langya Mountain is located at the eastern foot of Taihang Mountain in the west of Yixian County, Baoding City, Hebei Province. It belongs to Taihang Mountain range, 45 kilometers away from the county seat. It is named after its strange peaks, precipitous and steep appearance.

"Five Heroes of Langya Mountain" refers to the five heroes of the Eighth Route Army who fought bravely against the Japanese army and the puppet Manchurian army in the battle of Langya Mountain in Yixian County, Baoding City, Hebei Province during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period. They are Ma Baoyu, Ge Zhenlin, Song Xueyi, Hu Delin and Hu Fucai. They wrote a magnificent poem with their lives and blood.

In the battle, they were fearless and stopped bravely. After the bullets were exhausted, they fought back with stones. Facing the approaching enemy, they would rather die than surrender, destroy their guns and jump off a cliff dozens of feet deep without hesitation. Ma Baoyu, Hu Delin and Hu Fucai were heroically martyred; Ge Zhenlin and Song Xueyi were caught by branches on the mountainside and survived; The feats of the five soldiers showed lofty patriotism, revolutionary heroism and unyielding national integrity, and were praised by the people as "the five strong men of Langya Mountain".

the Ministry of civil affairs announced the first batch of famous anti-Japanese heroes.

On September 1st, 215, Bayi Film Studio announced in Beijing that it would remake "The Five Heroes of Langya Mountain", which will use high-tech aerial stunts, digital and 3D technologies to make the film into a classic that is more suitable for modern audiences and teenagers.

Extended information:

On September 14th, 29, "Five Heroes of Langya Mountain" was selected as one of the "1 Hero Models who made outstanding contributions to the founding of New China".

In August, 215, the 14th edition of People's Daily published "Five Strong Men of Langyashan-A Group of Anti-Japanese Heroes". The article points out that there is no doubt about the close relationship between the Eighth Route Army represented by five soldiers and the local people. Some people recalled Ge Zhenlin's story of pulling radish on the mountain and extended it to the discipline and style of the Eighth Route Army. Today, the local people are both angry and ridiculous about this statement.

Through the field visit in Langya Mountain, I learned that as long as there is a seed, it will bear fruit, and the radish is not specially planted by ordinary people. The history of the Anti-Japanese War can't be profaned, and national heroes can't be vilified. Respecting history and facts is the best commemoration of the anti-Japanese heroes and the responsibility for the future of the Chinese nation.
