The verandahs are connected, and its architectural form directly influenced the Danfeng Gate in Bianliang in the Northern Song Dynasty and the Meridian Gate in the Forbidden City in Beijing during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It occupies a very important position in the history of Chinese capital architecture.

There is one type of three-output que, which is a two-way three-output que. That is, there are two sub-queues attached to the back and outside of the mother que. The plane is in the shape of a ruler. The main tower is generally square in plane, and the two sub-ques are rectangular in plane, with more complex shapes and structures.

The "Five Phoenix Tower" is a form of the main entrance of the palace. There are five lofty towers on it, connected by verandas, and a pavilion in the east and west. , shaped like goose wings and five phoenixes, so it is called "Five Phoenix Tower".

4. Twelve Towers (two-way three-outlet tower)

The towers are the watchtowers on both sides in front of the city gate. Yingtianmen is the first three-outlet tower excavated by archeology in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. At the Quechengmen ruins, the tower is 120 feet high, which is about 36.4 meters high based on the Tang Dynasty ruler being 30.33 centimeters. There are single towers, two towers and three towers. The three-pronged palace has the highest level, and is usually accompanied by two sub-ques outside (or behind) the mother palace, with the scale gradually decreasing.

5. Three gates

Yingtianmen has a structure of one gate and three gates. This is the requirement of the feudal political etiquette system and the inheritance and development of the three gates system formed since the Qin and Han Dynasties. .

6. Drainage ditch

The newly excavated Yingtianmen ruins are located on the west side of the inner axis of Ziwei City. There are two rows of vertical bricks on the north side of the ruins, and a 13-4 meter long drainage ditch made of small pebbles on the south side of the vertical bricks. At the east end of the standing bricks and drainage ditch, there is a stone pillar foundation. A five-baht copper coin from the Sui Dynasty was also unearthed. Archaeologists speculate that small drainage ditches may have been used to drain rainwater from buildings during the Sui and Tang Dynasties.
