How can we see that Haifa, Israel, is really importing fertilizer?

First look at the packaging. Instructions for use should be provided on the outer packaging bag of imported fertilizer, including: warnings (such as "high chlorine content, biuret, improper use will cause harm to crops", etc. ), usage, suitable crops and unsuitable crops, recommended dosage, net content of each bag, etc. If the product contains urea nitrogen, the following warning should be marked on the packaging container: "It contains biuret, and improper use will cause harm to crops". For products marked with "chlorine", there must be no pictures of chlorine-free crops on the packaging container, and there must be no signs such as "potassium sulfate (type)", "potassium nitrate (type)" and "sulfur-based" which can easily make users mistakenly think that the products are chlorine-free. Products marked with "chlorine (high chlorine)" shall be marked with the applicable crop varieties and the warning that "improper use will cause harm to crops" on the packaging container. This is convenient for farmers to choose suitable fertilizer types according to crop characteristics.

Second, make a phone call. Generally, the national toll-free telephone number will be marked on the outer packaging of imported fertilizers. If the toll-free number on the fertilizer package does not exist, it means that this fertilizer is suspected of fraud, and it is best not to buy such products.

Finally, check the certificate. At present, the inspection and quarantine department conducts on-site inspection and laboratory test on each batch of imported fertilizers, and issues relevant inspection certificates after passing the test. Therefore, each batch of imported fertilizer that has passed the inspection has its own "identity certificate", that is, the certificate of the inspection and quarantine department. Farmers can verify the "authenticity" of imported fertilizers by asking for relevant certificates.

It is noteworthy that China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Standardization Administration approved and issued the national standard GB 15063-2009 Compound Fertilizer on October 30th, 2009, replacing GB 15063-200 1. Moreover, the new standard was formally implemented from June 20 10 to June 20 1 year, so the current standard for fertilizer packaging should be GB 15063-2009, not GB 15063-200 1.
