What is the function of activated carbon?

Activated carbon can effectively adsorb chlorinated hydrocarbons, organophosphorus and carbamate pesticides, as well as many esters and aromatic compounds such as phenyl ether, n- nitrochlorobenzene, naphthalene, ethylene, xylenol, phenol, DDT, aldrin and alkyl benzene sulfonic acid. When activated carbon adsorption method is combined with other treatment methods, ozone-activated carbon method, coagulation-activated carbon method, Hastelloy method and activated carbon-diatomite method appear, which obviously prolongs the adsorption period of activated carbon, reduces the dosage and greatly improves the treatment effect and scope. Activated carbon in addition to formaldehyde won't fail for a long time. Activated carbon can be fully exposed to the sun, and the formaldehyde to be absorbed can be fully volatilized in the sun before being taken into the house for use.
