Which city in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen is more humane?

As someone who has lived and worked in Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, my own feeling is that Shenzhen will be more humane. Why do I say this? Let’s discuss it slowly.

First of all, there is no need to say more about Beijing. Under the emperor’s feet, many old Beijing actually do not welcome migrant workers. A friend of mine who has worked in Beijing for 5 years said it truthfully. Why is this so? The main reason for this situation is the innate pride of the locals, especially those in old Beijing, so it is normal to look down on migrant workers.

Secondly, the same situation will happen in Shanghai. When I was working in Shanghai, I once went shopping. The boss was a young man, but when you spoke Mandarin to him, he insisted on speaking in Shanghainese. Replying to you, so to me, it’s just a piece of cake. I don’t know what he is talking about. I don’t believe that a young man in his 20s can’t speak Mandarin? Although some friends may say that your case is an exception, yes, it is an exception, but often just these cases can destroy a city's image in the minds of some people.

The same goes for Guangzhou. Guangzhou has a relatively rich historical and cultural heritage. Many people from old Guangzhou also live here. They have no worries about food, drink, and housing, so we will do the same here. I met many unmotivated young people, or many unfriendly businessmen, etc.

As for the city of Shenzhen, compared to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, it has a very typical immigrant population. There are almost no native Shenzhen people, so everyone uses this city to strive and realize themselves. Because everyone is from outside, they know how to help each other better. Everyone will work together to realize their own small dreams. At the same time, it also helps Shenzhen realize its big dream of taking off, so this is what we have seen. One of the reasons why many large companies are rooted in Shenzhen, such as Huawei and Tencent, etc.
