What does SMT mean?

Smt refers to surface mount technology, also known as surface mount or surface mount technology, which is a popular technology and process in electronic assembly industry. The basic process flow of smt includes solder paste printing, component installation, reflow soldering, AOI optical inspection, maintenance and circuit board separation. SMT process can be divided into five processes: single-sided assembly, double-sided assembly and so on.

What is smt?

Smt refers to surface assembly technology, also known as surface mounting or surface mounting technology, which is the abbreviation of a series of technological processes based on printed circuit boards and is a popular technology and process in the electronic assembly industry.

The basic process flow of smt includes solder paste printing, component installation, reflow soldering, AOI optical inspection, maintenance and circuit board separation. For electronic products that pursue miniaturization, the past punched plug-ins cannot be reduced, while smt patches have high assembly density, small size and light weight, so small electronic products can only use the original surface patches.

Smt mounting technology can be divided into five processes: single-sided assembly, double-sided assembly, single-sided mixed assembly, double-sided mixed assembly and double-sided assembly. Among them, the single-sided assembly process includes incoming inspection, screen printing, mounting drying and reflow soldering. After welding, the installation components need to be cleaned, and finally inspected and repaired.
