According to reports, the National Development and Reform Commission held a press conference in Beijing on December 18 regarding recent problems such as the failure to complete the "coal-to-gas" project in time, which has affected some people's winter heating. A response was given at the meeting: As long as the gas is used for people's livelihood, it must be guaranteed unconditionally.

The report stated that the head of the National Development and Reform Commission stated that since the beginning of this year, my country’s natural gas consumption has maintained rapid growth. From January to November, national natural gas consumption reached 209.7 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 18.9%. Among them, domestic production Natural gas was 133.8 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%. Imported natural gas was 81.7 billion cubic meters, an increase of 28.9%.

Since the beginning of winter, due to factors such as the increase in heating demand in the northern region and the instability of some gas sources, the pressure on resource security has continued to increase. The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration, together with relevant departments, have held multiple special meetings. Study measures to increase and ensure supply, establish a joint monitoring and dispatching mechanism, and coordinate to solve outstanding problems.

On the premise of ensuring safe production, accelerate the construction of natural gas production capacity and the commissioning of ground supporting projects, do our best to tap the production capacity of gas fields, and exchange resources between oil and gas companies in Tianjin, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong and other places , increase the supply of natural gas in northern heating areas, always adhere to the people-centered development concept, and put ensuring people's livelihood gas consumption in the first place.
