Thrombin time

Alias:

TT; Tankcrewtrainer

Introduction to thrombin time:

Thrombin time is a simple test to detect the function of coagulation, anticoagulation and fibrinolysis system, especially to know whether fibrinogen in plasma contains enough fibrinogen and whether the result is normal.

Normal thrombin time:

16 ~ 18s; More than 3 seconds beyond the normal control is abnormal.

Clinical significance of thrombin time;

(1) Prolongation: Fibrinogen decreased.

Congenital: congenital absence (low fibrinogen), abnormal fibrinogen, etc.

Acquired: liver cirrhosis, hepatitis, disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), fibrin degradation products (FDP), etc.

(2) Shortening: increase of fibrinogen (infection, inflammation, cancer, third trimester, etc. )
