According to statistics, last year, the city * * * accepted 2,239 cases of various legal aid, provided legal aid to 2,405 recipients, recovered or avoided economic losses13,889,300 yuan, and handled other legal aid matters16,525 cases.
(2) Deepen management supervision to ensure the quality of legal aid cases.
With the number of cases increasing year by year, our city has put forward the goal of "zero-distance family service, zero-charge free service and zero-complaint quality service" in legal aid, constantly emphasizing the quality of handling legal aid cases and taking the quality of cases as the lifeline of legal aid.
Last year, the city established and improved the files of lawyers and legal workers who handled legal aid matters, and registered all legal aid cases in recent years according to the file quality and feedback. After the case is filed, not only can the case handlers be urged to complete the assigned cases in time with good quality and quantity through the reward and punishment mechanism linked to the case handling quality, but also the case handling level and file quality of each legal service personnel can be fully grasped, which is convenient for the center to select legal service personnel with strong sense of responsibility and expertise in the professional field of cases to undertake cases.
(3) Improve convenience measures and create a green channel for legal aid.
In order to better serve people's livelihood, various convenience measures have been further refined and improved:
The first is to expand the channels of acceptance. Law firms and legal service offices are required to accept legal aid cases in advance if they find that the parties meet the conditions of legal aid in their daily business work, and submit them to the legal aid center for review within 3 days, so that people who have legal needs and meet the conditions can obtain legal aid conveniently and quickly.
The second is to launch four items. That is, free consultation, free writing, free mediation and free delivery are provided to all visitors, calls and letters. Telephone appointment and on-site service will be provided for the elderly, the weak and the sick.
The third is to simplify the acceptance procedures. Legal aid for migrant workers, the disabled and the elderly can be granted in five days, that is, application, acceptance, approval, assignment of lawyers and provision of legal aid on the same day. For legal aid cases that are urgent or will soon exceed the limitation of action, they should be accepted first and then go through the formalities.
The fourth is to establish a help docking system. For cases with simple case, clear facts and little controversy, on behalf of the parties, apply to the local people's mediation organization for mediation on a voluntary basis before entering the proceedings. If mediation fails, no litigation or arbitration will be initiated. In a mediation case, if one party meets the conditions of legal aid, legal aid personnel will participate in mediation on his behalf according to the application.

Third, increase publicity and expand the social impact of legal aid.
Set up a legal aid hotline, innovate and open a judicial office Weibo, and answer people's legal advice through various ways and channels to meet the legal aid needs of grassroots people.
The fourth is to do a good job in legal aid for key targets.
First, do a good job in legal aid for migrant workers. All cases involving migrant workers' work-related injuries and labor remuneration disputes will be accepted at zero threshold. The second is to do a good job in legal aid for old visitors. Actively help them solve long-standing problems through judicial channels, provide them with quality legal services, safeguard their legitimate rights and interests according to law, and help the government solve problems at the same time.
