1. Error in using "to" when unnecessary. Tell him I want these books. (error)

Former. Can you tell him that I love him (wrong)

Former. Can you give him this pen?

Correct: ex. Tell him I want these books.

Former. Can you tell him that I love him?

Former. Can you pass this pen to him?

2. many v.s.lot "many" is mainly used with "countable nouns"; "lot" is used with "uncountable nouns"

Former. I have many dresses, many of which are white.

I don't know how many clothes I have, but I can figure out how many clothes are white.

3. put v.s.keep "keep" means to hold and maintain; "Putting" mainly refers to placing something.

I will keep the book Exodus for a week. I will keep this book for a week.

Please put the book on the table. Please put the book on the table.

4. static verbs v.s. action verbs are usually used to express uncontrollable States such as emotions and feelings, so there will be no present continuous tense.

Error: For example. I like it.

Former. I feel the heat.

Correct: ex. I like it.

Former. I feel the heat.
