Ask some rules and etiquette about welcoming and placing Buddha statues.

Respect and piety are the most important things.

Ordinary laymen don't need special manners. Read classics whenever possible.

Look at the Buddha statue. If Guanyin Bodhisattva recites the Heart Sutra of the Universal Mercy Mantra,

The Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha is the Ksitigarbha Sutra, and the Amitabha Sutra is the Infinite Life Sutra or Amitabha Sutra.

The place should be clean, tidy and high.

In short, don't worry too much. Buddha and Bodhisattva are very merciful.
