The 613th Research Institute of Aviation Industry of China was founded in 1970 and is affiliated to Aviation Industry Corporation of China. It is the only aviation fire control system research institute in my country. After more than 30 years of hard work, a development pattern with the overall fire control system as the core, hardware as the support, software and hardware combination, scientific research and production, and military and civilian products has been gradually formed. Now it has developed into a scientific and engineering enterprise. A comprehensive, multidisciplinary, modern research institute integrating business and trade, it is a key R&D and production unit for aviation system products in my country's aviation industry. It has a joint training point for doctoral students and a postdoctoral mobile station, and has the right to grant master's degrees and the right to import and export self-operation. It has majors such as aviation fire control system, electronic technology and engineering, photoelectric detection technology and engineering, simulation, optics and precision machinery. It has fixed assets of nearly 700 million yuan, including more than 5,000 large-scale and micro-computers, machining centers and other advanced equipment. We have developed four generations of airborne weapon fire control systems and electro-optical control equipment, and developed a number of civilian products with high technical levels and good market prospects. In 1995, it passed the national ISO9001 quality system certification. The National Defense Science and Technology Key Laboratory of Fire Control Technology was put into use in the first half of 2003.
