In order to thoroughly implement the requirements of strictly administering the Party in an all-round way, further implement the spirit of the eight central regulations and the ten provincial regulations, practise thrift, oppose extravagance and waste, and earnestly strengthen the building of a clean and honest party style, the General Office of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and the General Office of the Guizhou Provincial People's Government issued the Provisions on the Total Prohibition of Alcohol in Official Activities in Guizhou Province according to the Regulations on Strictly Saving and Opposing Waste by Party and Government Organs and the Regulations on the Administration of Domestic Official Reception of Party and Government Organs.

The implementation of the prohibition of alcohol in the whole province further demonstrates Guizhou's determination to make unremitting efforts to rectify "four winds".

Since the beginning of this year, Guizhou Province has carried out special rectification on some outstanding problems, such as illegal purchase and use of high-grade liquor, shifting travel expenses and accommodation fees to the grassroots, illegal part-time remuneration of leading cadres in enterprises and institutions, party member cadres playing mahjong with mobile phone software during working hours, illegal holding of thank-you banquets and school banquets.
