In 2000, according to the regional characteristics, historical connotation and architectural style, all districts in Shanghai optimized and adjusted the deciduous landscape roads, and carefully selected and built 29 deciduous landscape roads. The main deciduous trees are Platanus acerifolia, Cinnamomum camphora, Ginkgo biloba, Liquidambar formosana, Sapindus mukoraiensis, Pistacia chinensis, Luanshu and so on.

This year, the number of deciduous landscape roads in Shanghai has increased to 42, and all districts will start to implement the activities of not sweeping deciduous leaves tomorrow.

There are 42 scenic spots in Huangpu, Jing 'an, Xuhui, Hongkou, Changning, Minhang, Songjiang, Qingpu, Jinshan, Pudong, Yangpu, Baoshan and other 12 districts, including 8 in Xuhui and Changning and 7 in Minhang. Among them, Lujiazui West Road, Xiaoguo Road, Yueyang Road, Wu Kang Road, Gui Jiang Road, Tianzhong Road and Hunan Road 15 roads were added this year.
