March 22nd, 2022 is the 30th World Water Day, and March 22nd-28th is the 35th China Water Week. The United Nations has designated the theme of World Water Day in 2022 as "groundwater-making the invisible visible" (cherish groundwater and hidden resources). The theme of China's activities to commemorate World Water Day and China Water Week in 2022 is "Promoting the comprehensive management of groundwater overexploitation and revitalizing the ecological environment of rivers and lakes".

The origin and significance of World Water Day;

1992,1On February 22nd, 1993, the United Nations General Assembly established World Water Day. This is a special day to remind the public of water resources. On this day, we can realize that the practical efforts to provide people with pure drinking water and the world's understanding of water problems can help us do better on water resources issues.

In its resolution 58/2 17 of February 23, 2003, the General Assembly declared World Water Day on March 22, 2005, and the period from 2005 to 2065 as the International Decade for Action "Water for Life".
