Huidong Middle School Campus Plant Survey Research Report 1. Background of the Project and Research Value (1), Background of Practical Activities Huidong Middle School in Huidong County moved to a new campus in 2007. The new campus is more beautiful than the original campus. Bigger is more beautiful. Campus greening and beautification are important symbols of a school's educational environment. Therefore, except for necessary activity venues and roads, all open spaces have been reasonably greened and beautified, and many green plants have been planted, but none of them have been listed. This also gave us an opportunity to propose a "Campus Plant Survey". Through the investigation of some students, it was found that the students knew very little about plants and did not know their names, let alone which family they belonged to. As for the uses of plants, all they know is that the teacher said that they can carry out photosynthesis and produce oxygen, and it is hard to say what other uses they have. Therefore, we hope that through this activity, we can cultivate our ability to investigate and solve problems, learn more about plants, let more students learn about plants, care for plants, make our campus more harmonious and beautiful, and enhance students' ability to investigate and solve problems. The school collects green space slogans to promote that everyone cares for every plant and tree in the school. The high-grade campus green environment inspires everyone on campus. Through this survey and research, teachers and students can better identify the plants on campus, understand the names, quantities, characteristics and living environment of school plants, and strengthen the environmental awareness of teachers and students; explore the mysteries of biology, expand and extend biology knowledge; provide rich curriculum resources for biology classroom teaching, and create good conditions for improving students' interest in biology classes. Plan implementation stage: In the process of implementing the research, we rely on theory , Based on practice, design an activity plan for campus plant investigation, and explore the implementation of research-based learning in campus plant investigation activities in practice. Through surfing the Internet, consulting books, and interviewing experts, we can understand the scientific names, family names, morphological structural characteristics, and living habits of plants, etc., which provides a basis for the naming and listing of campus plant species, so as to facilitate the later development of "Campus Plant Special Report" and "Campus Plant Special Report" "Plant Adoption Activities" and other work were carried out, and a plant learning website on the campus of Huidong Middle School was built, which included plant classification, naming, characteristics, habits, and characteristic photos. ⑴ The groups work together and start collecting plant specimens around the campus.
