The bidding process of Hangzhou Asian Games in 2023

On September 2015 16, the 34th OCA Congress was held in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. The first topic of the meeting was to listen to the presentation of the Hangzhou Olympic bid delegation. Liu Peng, President of the Chinese Olympic Committee and Director of the State Sports General Administration, Zhang Hongming, Mayor of Hangzhou, Luo Xuejuan, Ambassador of Shenya, Jin Jianhang, President of Alibaba Group, and Chen Yongxin, bilingual anchor of Hangzhou TV Station gave speeches in English.

After the presentation, the delegation broadcasted the "Shenzhen" propaganda film in Hangzhou. Finally, Zheng Jiwei, Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province, made a concluding speech on behalf of the Zhejiang Provincial Government. He solemnly promised that the Zhejiang provincial government would support Hangzhou in hosting the 2022 19 Asian Games.

As a bid city, Hangzhou became the third city in China to host the Asian Games after Beijing and Guangzhou.
