How to establish a good image of discipline inspection and supervision cadres

The Third Plenary Session of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection emphasized that it is necessary to build the discipline inspection and supervision cadres into high-quality discipline inspection and supervision cadres who are "politically strong, fair and upright, disciplined, proficient in business and excellent in work style" and establish a good image of discipline inspection and supervision cadres who are "amiable, credible and respectable". This is an inevitable requirement for further promoting the building of a clean and honest party style and anti-corruption work, and it is also an important political task for discipline inspection and supervision organs at all levels.

How to establish a good image of discipline inspection and supervision cadres in the new period is a major issue faced by discipline inspection and supervision organs at all levels. In the new development stage of building a well-off society in an all-round way and accelerating socialist modernization, facing the new situation and new tasks of building a clean and honest party style and fighting against corruption, discipline inspection and supervision organs at all levels and the broad masses of discipline inspection and supervision cadres should consciously make efforts in the following five aspects:

First of all, we must work hard to strengthen our study. Strengthening study is the premise and foundation of improving quality and enhancing ability, and it is also an important guarantee for doing all the work well. The majority of discipline inspection and supervision cadres should consciously study Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory, learn basic knowledge such as economy, science and technology, finance, history, laws and regulations, and learn and master the professional knowledge and skills required for discipline inspection and supervision. It is necessary to establish a leadership responsibility system for theoretical study, a central group learning system, a rotation training system for discipline inspection and supervision cadres, and a theoretical study assessment system for cadres. By perfecting the learning system, we can ensure the effective development of learning activities and truly form a strong atmosphere of active learning.

Second, we should work hard on theme education. Theme education is an effective form to enhance the ability of discipline inspection and supervision cadres to resist corruption and change. Discipline inspection and supervision organs at all levels should determine one or two themes every year according to the ideological reality of discipline inspection and supervision cadres, carry out thematic education activities in a targeted manner, guide the broad masses of discipline inspection and supervision cadres to consciously resist the erosion of decadent ideas, and constantly enhance their ability to resist corruption and change. Third, we should work hard on investigation and research. Investigation and research are closely related to changing work style. Without in-depth investigation and study of new situations and new problems, it will be difficult to carry out the work, let alone innovate, and a good image will not be established. At the same time, investigation and research is also the basis of seeking things, the way to achieve things, and an important way to improve work ability. If the discipline inspection and supervision work is to reach a new level and create a new situation, it is necessary to grasp the feelings of the upper class and understand the feelings of the lower class. The majority of discipline inspection and supervision cadres should go deep into the grassroots and the masses, investigate and study, and improve their decision-making ability and leadership level in practice. At present, we should combine the new practice, deepen the theoretical thinking on anti-corruption work, explore the characteristics and laws of corruption under the new conditions of socialist market economy and opening to the outside world, and scientifically grasp the new situation and trend of anti-corruption; Explore and rely on the strength of the masses to continuously broaden the channels of supervision, and gradually form an effective way to discover, expose and deal with corruption in time; Through the reform of system, mechanism and system, we will explore effective measures to curb the breeding and spread of corruption from the source. We should not only do a good job in investigation and research with a pragmatic style, but also actively transform the research results, sum up and popularize typical experiences, and improve the quality and level of work.

Fourth, we should strive to set an example. Strike while the iron is hot, and discipline inspection and supervision cadres should set an example of honesty. If you ask others to do it, you must do it first; If you ask others not to do it, you will never do it yourself At present, the anti-corruption struggle is very fierce, and discipline inspection and supervision cadres have become the targets of corruption and are facing severe tests. Fifth, we must work hard on the implementation of the work. When deploying work, define the division of labor and quantify the standards; After the deployment of the work, follow up and urge, strengthen the assessment and promote the implementation of the work. In view of the main problems, analyze the reasons, study the countermeasures and solve them one by one. For key tasks, we should plan, implement responsibilities and complete them within a time limit. We should be highly responsible for the party, the people and the cause in our work, dare to face difficulties and contradictions, have the courage to be the first, dare to try to be the first, and have ideas and methods to overcome difficulties and resolve contradictions.
