When does spring plowing and production generally start? What preparations should farmers make?

1. Seed disinfection. After selecting the planting varieties, pay attention to disinfecting the seeds, because we cannot guarantee the safety and health of the seeds. Doing a good job of disinfection can strengthen the protection and reduce the chance of disease and insect pests. First, the seeds should be exposed to the sun for a period of time to increase the vitality of the seeds. After drying, place the seeds in a chemical solution such as prochloraz for disinfection. First, soak the seeds in clean water for about 10 hours, then take them out to dry, mix prochloraz and water thoroughly, and add the seeds. After soaking for one day, you can take it out for germination and sowing.

2. Germination of seeds. Before planting, attention should be paid to germination work based on various factors such as planting varieties and seed germination ability. If they have been disinfected, there is no need to perform germination treatment, or the seeds can be placed in a moderate temperature environment to wait for Lubai to germinate. During germination, the seeds should be soaked in warm water. The steps and time are similar to those during disinfection. They can be carried out together. The germination temperature should be kept at about 25 degrees. After germination, pay attention to weather changes and sow in time. If the seeds have been coated, they can be sown directly.

3. Rice field management. Before planting, we also need to do a good job in organizing the rice fields, strengthen soil preparation, and plow them to a depth of about 30 centimeters. Determine the planting method according to the planting varieties, control the planting density, and dig planting trenches or holes. After sowing, pay attention to cover with mulch to keep warm and promote seed germination. If you encounter hot weather after the seedlings are successfully planted, remove the mulch film in time to dissipate heat and cool down. 4. Reasonable fertilization. The fertilizer for spring plowing and planting should be mainly decomposed farmyard manure, combined with an appropriate amount of compound fertilizer. The specific fertilizer application depends on the crops grown. For example, rice, soybeans and other food crops generally use all farmyard manure as the base fertilizer. For fruits and vegetables, compound fertilizer and farmyard manure should be mixed as base fertilizer. It should be noted that urea cannot be used when applying base fertilizer, because when urea volatilizes, it will produce biuret. Excessive biuret content will cause poisoning of crop seed seedlings and affect their normal growth.
