Article 57 The National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China is the highest organ of state power. Its permanent organ is the NPC Standing Committee.

Article 76 Deputies to the National People's Congress must abide by the Constitution and laws in an exemplary manner, keep state secrets, and assist in the implementation of the Constitution and laws in their own production, work and social activities.

Deputies to the National People's Congress shall keep close contact with the original electoral units and the people, listen to and reflect the opinions and demands of the people, and strive to serve the people.
