The ancient tower significance of Tianfeng Pagoda

2. There are three stone boxes: two pieces are damaged, and the wonderful lotus flower is eroded from Yuan Dynasty to Yuan Dynasty.

3. Two wooden boxes: one is corroded, and the other is filled with Mahayana Hokkekyo, which is relatively complete. It is a rare version of the Yuan Dynasty, but unfortunately it is not easy to start.

Category II: Barreled cultural relics.

The outside is made of copper, and the inside is the Lotus Sutra, some of which can be recognized when unearthed and will melt with the wind. Twenty-five pieces were found in the * * * placed during the reconstruction of the Yuan Dynasty.

Category III: Coins

It is found that there were "Kaiyuan Bao Tong" in the Tang Dynasty and "Chongning Bao Tong" and "Chongning Chongbao" in the Song Dynasty.

Category IV: Inscription bricks

It can be divided into three types: bamboo book, ink book and die printing. There are 3,450 bamboo books registered by number and 4,600 Ming bricks, especially some chronological bricks, which are rare physical evidence for studying the local history of Ningbo.

Archaeological excavations of cultural relics provide reliable physical evidence for the study of brick and wood pagodas in Song and Yuan Dynasties and the restoration of ancient pagodas in Southern Song Dynasty. Through cleaning and dissection, it is proved that the top and bottom of the dome of Tianfeng Tower were built in Yuan (1329) two years ago. The second grade or above was rebuilt during the Yuan Dynasty (1328— 1330), and both the first and second grades had inscribed bricks of "Jia Zi" and "E Yuan", which structurally belonged to Shaoxing for fourteen or fifteen years. For the first time, the above facts make the well-known "Tianfeng Tower is the foundation of the following Tang Dynasty", "Taiding blew down three floors in June and rebuilt it in the first year of Shunshun", "Li Yong destroyed three floors in ten years in Ming Dynasty", "Jiajing typhoon fell to the top of the tower in 36 years", "Qianlong 16 typhoon blew up and fell to the top of the tower" and "Tianfeng Tower is eighteen square (it should be said that the height of Tianfeng Tower is eighteen feet. Actually, there are brakes on it. From this cleaning, it is proved that the tower gate is often repaired, but the iron casting cover bowl was made in the second year of Yuan Dynasty (1329), with a pearl-shaped treasure box in the middle and a lotus bowl on it, and the inscription is also from Yuan Dynasty.
