Article 10: Various meetings held in autonomous counties may use the Yi language and the national common language at the same time or separately.

Article 14 The autonomous county archives department shall do a good job in collecting, sorting, filing, archiving, safekeeping and utilization of archival materials in the Yi language. Chapter 3 The use of Yi language and writing in various social undertakings Article 15 Autonomous counties should attach great importance to the teaching of Yi language and writing, in accordance with national laws and regulations, language foundation and the will of the people, and on the basis of strengthening the national common language education, scientific and sound Promote Yi language education and effectively improve students’ bilingual abilities. Article 16: When carrying out adult education, state agencies in autonomous counties should attach importance to teaching in the Yi language and writing; for rural Yi citizens, the Yi language and writing can be used to eliminate illiteracy and gradually improve their cultural quality. Article 17 Autonomous counties should attach great importance to the development of scientific and cultural undertakings in Yi language and writing.
Ensure and encourage Yi scientific and technological personnel and literary and artistic workers to use the Yi language and characters to engage in scientific research, inventions, literary and artistic creations, write scientific research papers, and promote science and technology.
The autonomous county ethnic minority language and writing departments and cultural departments should collect, organize, excavate, research, compile, and publish ancient Yi language and writing documents, word-of-mouth materials, and Yi folk cultural works in a planned and focused manner. Establish and improve a library of ancient books and documents in Yi language and characters, and inherit and protect the cultural heritage of the Yi people. Article 18: Radio, television, news and book distribution, postal and telecommunications departments and units within the autonomous county shall use both the written and spoken Yi language and the national common spoken and written language to serve the society based on their respective work and social needs. Article 19 Official seals, unit name plates, document headers, announcements, public service advertisements, permanent slogans, signboards of individual industrial and commercial households, and plaques of public event venues of autonomous counties, state agencies, social groups, enterprises, institutions and other organizations , traffic signs, safety warning signs, the names of buildings of a certain scale in urban and rural construction, boundary signs that clarify the direction of administrative area boundaries, street and lane place name signs, important inscriptions and other social words should use both Yi language and characters. The national common spoken and written language.
The trademarks and product instructions of the main industrial products produced in the autonomous county shall use the Yi language and the national common language simultaneously or separately according to actual needs.
The Yi language place names in autonomous counties shall all use the standard names published by the people's government of the autonomous county.
The Yi language translation and writing of the names of state agencies, social groups, enterprises and institutions in autonomous counties shall be reviewed and approved by the Yi language and writing department of the autonomous county people's government.
