What is design psychology?

Design psychology is a theoretical course for design majors and a subject that designers must master. It is based on psychology, and it is people's psychological state, especially people's demand psychology. Through the effect of consciousness on design knowledge, it also studies people's mentality in the process of design creation. And the psychological reaction of design to society and social individuals, which in turn acts on design, making design more reflective and satisfying people's psychology.

When user experience becomes a hot topic in the field of design, Dr. Norman's analysis of emotional factors in design can be said to be appropriate. He asked us to find an effective way to get into the connection between design products and consumers. Different from the content of traditional design books, this book discusses how the emotional system changes the operation of the cognitive system based on a large number of biology, neuroscience and psychology, and thus summarizes the role of aesthetic goods reflecting emotions in design. This paper discusses the three levels of human dealing with problems: instinct, behavior and reflection, and explains how these three levels adjust and compete with each other in practical actions, which is the main basis for analyzing the cognition and reaction of commodity designers and consumers.

This book also lists many examples, such as the interesting MiniCooper, which makes its shortcomings often overlooked; The masculine design of video games has awakened the sensitive nerves of young men and achieved great success, which proves the importance of emotional satisfaction in commodity design.
