Measures for the administration of Fanjingshan National Nature Reserve

Since its establishment, Fanjingshan National Nature Reserve has always attached great importance to scientific research and scientific and technological work. According to our own reality, we have cooperated with relevant units at home and abroad to carry out multi-disciplinary scientific research projects such as environmental monitoring of Fanjing Mountain in China and the United States, scientific investigation of Mayanghe langur nature reserve, and scientific investigation of Moon Mountain forest area. Independently presided over and completed a number of scientific research topics, such as "Guizhou Golden Monkey Field Ecological Investigation" and "Guizhou Golden Monkey Artificial Domestication and Breeding Technology Research", established the management policy of "scientific research as the guide, management and protection as the foundation, coordination as the guarantee", and made remarkable achievements in protection and management, resource protection, forest fire prevention and tourism development.

The administration publicizes the situation of the protected areas by producing pictures, films and television materials. Hold summer camps, organize primary and secondary school students to visit animal and plant specimens, and educate primary and secondary school students on the protection of natural biodiversity. Use billboards, slogans, notices and other forms to vigorously publicize the importance of protecting wild animals and forest fire prevention.

The reserve management bureau and surrounding counties and townships (towns) have established professional forest fire prevention teams and voluntary fire prevention teams. Since the establishment of the reserve for more than 20 years, there has been no major forest fire, and it has been rated as the national forest fire prevention headquarters 1987- 1989, 1990- 1992, 1999-200 1.

Taking the "Natural Forest Protection Project" and GEF project as an opportunity, a "Village Management Committee" composed of grass-roots management institutions, village committees and villagers' representatives of nature reserves was established, and "* * * * Management Convention" and "* * * Management Committee Responsibilities" were formulated. Mainly participate in the patrol of protected areas by forest protection stations, assist in monitoring the changes of environment and species, and provide activities such as community dynamics to protected area management agencies.
