Fishing has been banned in the Yangtze River for several years.

1, since 2002 1,1,the Yangtze River Basin has "one river, two lakes, seven rivers and one mouth" (the main stream of the Yangtze River, Poyang Lake and Dongting Lake, the important tributaries of Dadu River, Minjiang River, Tuojiang River, Chishui River, Jialing River, Wujiang River and Hanjiang River, and the Yangtze River Estuary No Fishing Management Zone.

The central government arranged a subsidy of 654.38+03 billion yuan to support the local co-ordination for the fishing license right, fishing boat and fishing gear recovery compensation, transitional living allowance, housing security, employment security, old-age insurance security and other expenses of the fishermen who closed fishing in the Yangtze River.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, together with Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, has formulated and promulgated nine resettlement guarantee measures to guide all localities to do a good job in endowment insurance, skills training, employment assistance and public welfare post placement. At the same time, strengthen the capacity building of fishery law enforcement, promote the establishment of a new pattern of protection and management that pays equal attention to civil air defense technology and defense, combines professional management with group defense and group treatment, strengthen daily law enforcement supervision, severely crack down on "electric poison bombing", "no household net" and "three boats", punish all kinds of illegal crimes that endanger aquatic biological resources such as illegal fishing in the Yangtze River basin according to law, improve the long-term management mechanism of law enforcement in the Yangtze River basin, and earnestly consolidate and maintain the management order of closed fishing in the Yangtze River basin. By the end of 2020, all fishing boats and fishermen in the key waters of the Yangtze River Basin will be arrested and landed, achieving the goal of "four clean-ups and four noes".

4. After the closed fishing period of 10, on the basis of scientific evaluation of aquatic biological resources, aquatic ecological environment and the needs of economic and social development, the rational utilization, protection and management policies of aquatic biological resources shall be formulated separately.
