What is your first love doing now?
My first love was my classmate in the fifth grade of elementary school. She was pretty and had a pair of bright and talkative big eyes. We were roommates at that time, and because of the "convenient location", we maintained a relationship that transcended the boundaries of ordinary classmates. Looking back now, the happiest thing was that she often secretly stuffed candies that she was reluctant to eat into my schoolbag. What I am best at is helping her on duty and fighting for her when other classmates bully her.
Unfortunately, we separated when we entered junior high school. I went to middle school in a local joint middle school, while she went to school in the city with her parents. After that, we didn't see each other for more than ten years. Meanwhile, when I was in college, I heard that she was working at a health school in the same city. At that time, I wanted to see her, but in the end I was unable to do so because of too many worries.
The next time I saw her was by chance. I bought a building in the city and have lived there ever since. Once I went to a drugstore to buy cold medicine. After entering the drugstore, I felt a pair of eyes staring at me. When I looked up, I was stunned. Aren't these the familiar bright and talking eyes from many years ago? I subconsciously called out her name. She smiled and agreed. Yes, it's her. Although the passage of time has left deep marks on her face, the light shining in those eyes has not changed.
In the subsequent conversation, I learned about her situation after entering junior high school. She attended junior high school in the city for three years and entered high school after graduation, but did not enter college. She chose to attend a secondary health school. After graduating from the health school, she returned to her city of residence and arranged to work in the sales department of a medicinal company. She is married to a man who works in a factory. They have a boy who is already in junior high school. A family of three, ordinary and peaceful. Life was okay, she said.
We all seemed to recall what happened back then and wanted to say something, but in the end we didn’t.
Just like she said, life is okay, better than anything else. I wish her a better life in the future.
