I have watched the dragon boat race on TV more than once: painted dragon boats, neat clothes, crowded people and warm scenes are really fascinating. I was fortunate to witness a long-lost dragon boat race in Tangkou this year.

On the Dragon Boat Festival, I got up early and came to Tangkou with great interest. The river bank is already crowded with people. The old people moved out of their armchairs from home and sat quietly waiting. The girls are like attending a grand event. Everyone is wearing neat new clothes and chattering about who will win the game. Although the young man didn't take part in the dragon boat race himself, he was still enthusiastic and his face was full of joy. The children were even more excited, drilling around in the crowd, and some naughty boys even climbed to the big tree by the river, took a good position and looked down into the river. There are already four most beautiful dragon boats floating in the river. These ships are narrow and long, with red lines painted on their sides.

The game finally started in people's expectation. The young radial hand was in high spirits, with a bunch of red cloth wrapped around his head and waist, shining in the morning light. When the drums sound, the dragon boat will fly like an arrow on the calm and waveless Tanghe River. People watching dragon boats on both sides of the strait shouted loudly, and some even took out all the gongs and drums at home and knocked and cheered. What's more, young people who do good deeds hang "serial firecrackers" prepared in advance on trees and light them. At that time, shouts, gongs and drums, firecrackers meet in one place and reverberate on the river, which is deafening.

I squeezed in to see it. The young radial hand paddled bravely, with uniform movements, solid muscles falling with the movements, and the sweat on his forehead reflected the brilliance of the sun. Drummers are even more excited, jumping together with double hammers, eager to let all their strength go up, which makes people worry that the drum will not break. When the game reaches a tense place, it is even more exciting. The two dragon boats went hand in hand, scrambling, and the sound on the shore was drowned for a while. After the tie was broken, there was another cheer, mixed with a few sorry sighs.

Near noon, the sun gradually became fierce. People on the shore can't resist the enthusiasm of the sun, some are looking for a shady place, and some simply turn around and go home for lunch. Several dragon boats on the river are also resting on the shore. A gazebo built on the shore a long time ago was put on a banquet. It seems that the young radial hands haven't enjoyed themselves yet, so they need to play more in this warm sunshine. I really admire their enthusiasm.

In recent years, Tangxia Town's economy has developed rapidly, and its favorable environment has attracted many domestic and foreign investors and mainland migrant workers. There are many high-rise buildings, and urban construction is accelerating. I think: all this is inseparable from people's enthusiasm for construction. People have transferred the spirit of dragon boat racing to economic construction, and you have made great achievements today.
